Analytics and Measurement
We use standard measurement tools to understand which articles are read and how readers move through the site. Retention Periods

Messages sent through the contact form are kept while we handle your enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards, so that we can refer back to the exchange if you write again. When that period ends, the messages are deleted.
Aggregated measurement figures, which do not identify anyone, may be kept for longer because they are used for editorial planning. They contain no personal detail that could be traced back to a reader.
Your Rights and Children
You may ask what information we hold about you, request a copy of it, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You may also object to a particular use or ask us to restrict it. To make a request, use the contact form on this site and describe what you want; we will respond within a reasonable time. We may ask for enough detail to locate the relevant records, but we will not ask for identity documents beyond what is needed to match your request.
